Summer 2019 Outdoor Workout Roundup

There’s no denying that the Queen City is full of beautiful studios and amazing workout spaces - and we LOVE experiencing them all. But as the weather gets nicer and all signs point to summertime, it’s rare that you’ll find us indoors. And let’s be honest, there’s nothing quite like doing sun salutations in the actual sun.

 

Luckily, we aren’t the only ones dying to get outside. I’ve rounded up a collection of some of the best recurring outdoor workouts so that we can all get our sun-powered sweat sesh on all season long.

 

 

 

Market Muscles: We’re teaming up with the Findlay Market to put on this fun summer workout series for the second year in a row! Join us on Wednesdays from 5:30-6:15 in the Farm Shed (North lot). Each week, we’ll showcase rotating fitness instructors from Cincinnati’s top studios including cycling, barre, yoga, HIIT and more. And if you’re an insider, it’s FREE. Register here.

 

Wellness on the Levee: Newport on the Levee is taking its FREE wellness series outside! You’ll have five chances per week to work on your fitness alongside the river. Workouts vary from gentle yoga to Tai Chi. Sign up and check the schedule here.

 

Yoga in the Courtyard: Head up to Loveland every third Saturday for an outdoor yoga flow at Mosaic Climbing gym! Stick around after to scale the walls and learn the ropes at Ohio’s biggest climbing gym. Yoga is free for Mosaic members, $10 drop-in for non-members. Don’t forget to reserve your spot.

 

Washington Park Workouts powered by Lykins Energy Solutions: Start your weekends in the park! This Weekend Workout features FREE rotating fitness classes led by YMCA instructors every Saturday morning at 9am. Classes range from yoga, to zumba, to cardio kickboxing. Yoga at Trolley Park: Spending the weekend in KY? Join Rooted Yoga in Trolley Park on Saturday mornings at 10am all summer long for a grounding flow in the grass. No registration necessary, just bring your mat.
