Cincinnati Farmers' Markets for Every Day of the Week

July 24, 2018

With so many Farmers' Markets in Cincinnati, there’s no excuse not to shop local this summer and fall. Here’s a Market for everyday of the week.

Monday:

Monday is a hard day for Farmers' Markets. In fact, most close down for the day, including Findlay (the city's largest market). But, if you drive across the bridge you’ll find the Boone County Farmer's Market open for business. The market is located on the large paved lot just east of the Boone County Cooperative Extension Service on Burlington Pike (KY 18), between Florence and Burlington and is open Monday (and also daily) from 9AM-6PM. Products are sourced from 50 different local family farms, all in Northern Kentucky.

Tuesday:

The Loveland bike trail is one of my favorite Greater Cincinnati activities. I also think the town is super cute. Loveland’s Farmers' Market started in 2010 and sources produce from a 100-mile radius. The market is open from 3-7PM every Tuesday from May until October. Who wants to go and combine produce shopping with a bike ride?

Wednesday:

The Blue Ash Farmers' Market is open every Wednesday from 3:30-7PM through September 26, 2018. You can find the Market at Summit Park in Blue Ash near the dog park. Not only does this market sell local goods, but it also hosts a rotating cast of entertainment and food trucks. You can do your grocery shopping, and grab an outdoor dinner after!

Thursday:

The Madeira Farmers' Market is one I haven’t checked out yet, but plan to next week. It’s open year-round on Thursdays. From May until September, the market resides outside in the heart of downtown Madeira on the corner of Dawson and Miami and then moves indoors for winter. It’s open from 3:30-7PM.  You can check out the vendor list and their ongoing blog on the Market’s website (which is really cool, btw).

Friday

We can’t leave out the Westside. Specifically, because their Lettuce Eat Well Farmers’ Market was named the #1 farmers’ market in all of Ohio in 2013. The market is open year-round in Cheviot Elementary School gymnasium. Apparently, this one is so popular that customers are encouraged to preorder favorite items from vendors so they don’t run out. Visit the market from 3:30-6:30PM every Friday.

Saturday:

Findlay Farmer’s Market is actually open daily (except Monday) year round. However, on Saturdays in the summer and fall, the Market really explodes. Vendors set up outside in the Farmshed and sell a plethora of goods. You don’t want to miss this experience. Protip: come hungry. There are always copious amounts of samples and amazing food vendors you’ll want to buy lunch or brunch from. On Saturday, the market is open 8AM-6PM. I recommend going early. It gets crowded!

Sunday:

Ryan and I LOVE the Hyde Park Farmers’ Market for a lot of reasons, but especially since we can walk to it. This is a huge plus because parking does get dicey as the day progresses. The Market is open May through October from 9:30AM-1:30PM. The Market has been in existence for 14 years and boasts an impressive list of vendors. One of my favorite Sunday morning activities is to walk to the Farmers’ Market and then get brunch on the square after.
