Last week my dad walked in on me, my sister, and my mom having a serious girl talk session. There may have been tears involved. He stood there unsure of what to do, wanting to be a part of the conversation, but knowing very well that he had no business being there. He slowly retreated, feeling left out once again.
This weekend, Meriden’s dad gave a killer father-of-the-bride speech about how wonderful of a person Meriden is, but not before telling the most hilarious story of her trying to get him arrested at an amusement park when she was 5 years old, screaming “THIS ISN’T MY DAD! HE’S KIDNAPPING ME! HELP!”
So, yeah, we totally get why dad’s deserve a day of celebration. Instead of giving him another golf polo, or tie, or coffee mug (although you really do love all those coffee mugs, right Mac?), we rounded up a list of fun things to do with Dad this weekend, and some unique gifts fit for the active, health conscious dad.
